Stacking rings for baby, so I made these a couple of weeks ago and just got around to posting them, I found this pattern and i loved the idea of stacking rings that are soft and can be linked together! pretty simple to make and goes pretty quick. I just used some extra fabric I had around the house for this project, which makes it even more awesome lol because it doesnt take much fabric so you can use all those scraps of fabric you have left over from other projects. my 3 year old even thinks these are cool.
Whispers in the dark
I am a stay at home mom of one amazing little girl, when I am not chasing her around the house I am either at my sewing machine creating or I am in the kitchen coming up with new recipes or perfecting old recipes. this blog is a place for me to share my sewing and cooking projects with you.

Another fabric woven purse, I took a lot more time on this one (as if the first one didn't take long enough lol) and this one really turned out well, I added a good sized pocket to the inside as well. it takes awhile to weave this together and all but I think it is well worth the time it took to make. I love the possibility's with these purses because you can combine all kinds of colors and patterns.

I bought a twin size sheet set to make curtains because it is so much easier to just use a flat twin size sheet to make curtains lol and usually a lot cheaper too! I made curtains for my dining room for $4 dollars a pair! so anyway I made the curtains for the baby room and then I cut some slits in the fitted sheet and used it for the crib bed skirt all I had left was a pillow case and I still wanted to make a matching baby quilt so I cut the pillow case apart and cut it into two separate pieces and added the orange fabric...so this is how it turned out! I was pretty happy with this especially being as it only took me about 40 minutes from start to finish to make this little quilt.

I am trying to come up with cheap or free ways to decorate my house and,
I had some super ugly pillows for my couch that I hated, so I made black pillow cases for these pillows and cut a bird shape out of the pillow case that matched a picture I have hanging in the living room, I hand stitched with matching embroidery floss a lime green bird on the inside of the pillow case, this is a really easy project the only time consuming part was stitching the green fabric into the pillow case. so this is how they turned out!

I love homemade applesauce! and I make it all the time, I make up a couple of batches at a time and store them in the freezer. this recipe is really simple to make, has only 4 ingredients and tastes amazing!
3 pounds of apples peeled, cored and cut into fours (I use what ever kind of apples are on sale)
1/2 cup of water
1 tsp of cinnamon
1/8 cup of sugar
place the apples into a pot with the 1/2 cup of water, bring the apples to a boil then reduce them to a simmer and cover. cook the apples until they are soft, depending on the apples this will take about 30 minutes or so.
once the apples are cooked add the cinnamon and sugar.
pour the apples into a food processor or blender and blend until the applesauce is the consistence you like!
